European bee eaterby =Tianithen

Ok, so officially birds are now my favourite things to paint :)
The colours are just so much fun, especially after a long day of revising genetics :D

Anyway here is a European bee eater - stock photo was used as reference, painted in photoshop, not sure how long it look. It was nearly done before but I deleted it and started again ... it does look better :)

There is only one out of thousand of words to describe this painting: Beautiful. The colors used are very bright and vibrant. The technique you used to blend the colors is good. The high lights in the feathers, eye, and beak are right where they should be and are at a good position. The details on the bird are superb! The shadow of the bird is place at the correct angle. By looking at this I can clearly see that you have have experience and knowledge when working with the program you used for creating this. Keep up the good work and please continue drawing!

I really like the colors you used her very tropical and vibrant. I also like how the bird appears to be thinking or focusing it's attention on something. This interesting dynamic of pose and eye contact makes the bird feel alive. Very cool :juggle:
